Super Saver Pricing will End May 15

We are back!

The Anchorage Walkabout Town Bed and Breakfast will be open from June 1 to August 31 and we have been taking reservations at our pre-covid prices (i.e., super saver pricing from 2019.)

As we get closer to the re-opening of our business it is clear that to provide for our people we must raise our prices to what we have listed on our website for this summer 2022.

However, Until May 15 we will continue to charge our 2019 prices. Make your bookings now to get the best price savings.

We can’t wait to enjoy the Alaska summer with you.

Thank you for choosing us.

Scott & the whole Stimson family.

Denali Education Center News & Updates

Connecting people to Denali through fun, informative, and inspiring programs.
Denali Education Center News & Updates

The afternoon light has been mystical while much of the state is shrouded in wildfire smoke. The burn ban has put a stop to all fires in including inside Denali National Park. Luckily, the winds of change are upon us and rain is beginning to fall! We expect the smoke to clear within days!

The Healy Tundra Challenge Golf Tournament is happening on Saturday, July 13th rain or shine. It’s not too late to be a sponsor if you’d like to contribute to the Scott Menke Memorial Fund which benefits our youth programs. Contact Darrell at events@denali.org.

Be safe out there and DON’T BURN ANYTHING! Enjoy the light and hope for clearer days soon.

#DontFeedTheLandfills
Many thanks to Husky Homestead for hosting a tour of their sustainability efforts for a delegation of Denali Zero-Landfill Initiative stakeholders. Representatives from Subaru, National Parks Conservation Association, and the National Park Service are in the area checking out all the ways that Denali is reducing waste and recycling right.
Husky Homestead has recently formed a staff-led volunteer Green Team that oversees their sustainability programs. In the photo below, notice the Recycle Across America labels, a water bottle refill station, and a sign with Zero-Landfill information that includes the amount of recyclables they have diverted from the landfill – over 526 lbs since May 19!
We are so impressed with all that Husky Homestead is doing. In addition to being active with the Denali Zero-Landfill Initiative, they are also members of the Adventure Green Alaska program. Learn more on Husky Homestead’s sustainability page.
